Variable Tournament Payout Structure

A standard tournament payout structure usually consists of 100% of the
prize pool divided into 70%, 20%, 10%, in acsending order from first
to third place. However, our variable payout structure is based on the
amount of players participating in the event.

Our variable payout structure compensates the top ~10% of the players.
This is based on a 8 person variable.

1-35 players = 3 payouts
36-48 = 4 payouts (50%, 25%, 15%, 10%)
49-56 = 5 payouts (50%, 20%, 15%, 10%, 5%)
57-64 = 6 payouts (50%, 20%, 10%, 8%, 7%, 5%)
65-72 = 7 payouts (50%, 20%, 10%, 8%, 5%, 4%, 3%)
73-88 = 8 payouts (45%, 20%, 10%, 8%, 7%, 5%, 3%, 2%)
89-96 = 9 payouts (40%, 20%, 10%, 8%, 7%, 6%, 4%, 3%, 2%)
97&^ = 10 payouts (40%, 20%, 10%, 8%, 7%, 6%, 4%, 3%, 1%, 1%)

LA Riots: Recap

Thanks to Gootecks and Coin-op TV for inviting as part of the live audience in this invitational event held at Stream.TV’s studio. We were pretty amazed with the production value you guys put on for the event and were pretty envious if we can someday pull off something even close to what you guys had. It was tons of fun eventhough it was a short event. All the matches were exciting especially seeing Happytang Kai ranting how much he hates Street Fighter 4 and then proceeding to wipe your face on the floor with his Spectacular Fuerte. Congratulations to Combofiend for taking 1st place, Keno – 2nd, Happytang Kai – 3rd. Thanks again and see guys at Barfights next week!

Combofiend keepin’ it cool. Kai Salty

2nd and 3rd but we got sticks!

What happens we you play each other too much . . .

Only 5 people were actually interested to be here =P

Box Arena Sessions: New Location!

The Box Arena Wednesday Sessions returns! Since there’s still a lot of unpacking to do, we decided to open  the Box only to the members of the SD team that will be participating at the House of Cicada’s 5 vs 5 Regional battle this friday. We will have regular sessions starting next week. BUT as stated, it will only be by invite basis. As you can see in the pictures, the new Box is significantly smaller than before so we cannot have a whole lot of people at our place. Since other stations are at people’s rooms and I don’t want my carpet messy! Please make sure to read the guidelines to be invited to Wednesday sessions. See you guys soon!

Box Arena is Back! New Box Arena Wednesday Sessions Guidelines

The Box Arena is no longer going to have the same structure. You all know our expertise is hospitality, and for that reason we are going to have to close The Box to the general public. THIS IS NOT SAYING YOU CANNOT COME TO THE NEW BOX ARENA ON WEDNESDAYS!!! The matter is simply that our house and living room are significantly smaller, and we cannot accommodate the usual 40+ people. In result, we will be running the new Box on an invite only basis.

If you are a dedicated SF4 player, and you would like to play on Wednesdays PLEASE EMAIL ME your cellphone number and you will be sent a text on the Monday of each week IF you are one of those chosen. (those selected will be at random, so please do not take offense to any of this post) When you receive this text, you will be allowed to bring 1 (one) person whom also should be a dedicated player. There are a few people that either work for or play for The Box Arena that are VIP and do not need an invite, however these people do not have the authority to bring anyone, so don’t ask them! IF you would like to join us and bring good competition, make sure you email me your number. Bye!
