Box Arena Sessions: Class Lesson; Chapter 3 – Pics

Classes started out rocky this week. Lots of  people not showing up without any notice. Spectators, which there shouldn’t be (>_<) Only Girlfriends and Manager(s). But in the end, it worked out and everyone had fun.

and now a friendly reminder:

/rant on

Please make sure to be on time at 9pm. Running a full sheet on a TV takes 1 and 1/2 hours, So doing 2 rounds makes us finish at midnight. So delaying it any further is hard for most of us who have work early. If you cannot make it on time or at all- please notify Nemo or any of the Box Arena Crew ASAP especially if you’re volunteering a PS3/LCD so we can make prior arrangements.

Also remember that we are NOT RUNNING ANY CASUALS on class days. So don’t bring your friends if they’re not on the roster and make them think that there’s Tekken casuals. Everyone who signed-up came to improve their game, want to focus and don’t want any distractions.  Plus The Box Arena is small enough with 40 people and having spectators not paying the $1 class fee and crowding the place is bad! BAD! BAD! BAD!

Lastly, before we start classes or even as you enter the door; Pay the $1 class fee. ~_~ The Box Arena provides us the paper, pens, clipboards, and even tracks your stats(which we will put out on the site sometime ) this requires time and money. Please DO NOT take advantage of The Box Arena’s generosity . . . or they will inevitably stop classes or casuals.

/rant off

Remember:

-Sign-up and check on the thread

-Notify us when you can’t go

-Pay the $1 class fee

-Don’t bring friends if they’re not signed-up

Also remember that there is NO CLASS next week. Only a tournament at Frubble. There will be NO ONE at The Box Arena if you go on wednesday.

There will only be a webcam on the window to greet you- that will stream in Frubble to see who actually didn’t read this page or the thread.

The Box Arena Invitational: Top 8 Videos!!!

Running 2 Tournaments in one day is hard. Running 2 Tournaments and recording and streaming both Top 8’s is HARDER. It took awhile, but they’re here. Both Top 8 Videos for the Qualifier and Elite Tournament at the Box Arena Invitational.

I would like to extend my thanks to all the players who participated and provided us with amazing gameplay that pleased the crowds.

To our commentators- Viscant, Unprotected Sex, Gootecks, DJ Frank Fresh, Oceanside Doods, and BomberEDX2 for their well thought-out insight of the matches, humorous banter, and trash talk that has only been heard at the Box Arena Commentary Table.

To The Box Arena Multimedia Team, namely Steinmania, For putting up with all our criticism to improve the quality of our video releases and for giving up a lot of his time eventhough he has a lot on his plate right now. We love you Mitchell!

And let’s have everyone thank Steinmania for the wonderful job he has done!

Tekken 6 Launch Party: Recap

This past Saturday, The Box Arena decided to take yet another trip to LA. Our goal was to attend the T6 Release party thrown by ActiveGamers in association with SDTekken and Shoryuken.com- From the parking lot alone we got an idea of where our night was headed. At the door we were greeted by 2 very long lines- One line for VIP, and one for General Admission. We slipped by theses lines to take a sneak peak before everyone was let in. There, we saw all our good friends from SDTekken setting up stations and getting ready for the crowd.

As the night went on, the venue began to fill and it was very obvious how big of a crowd HAX can accommodate . With plenty of bleacher style seating, and a comfortable VIP room dressed with Couches and refreshments, there was no room for disappointment. A DJ was creating an active atmosphere, along with models dressed in Anime Style costumes to keep everyone’s interest. At no point was there a time for boredom. Over a dozen Setups with T6, plenty of networking, and 64 man single elimination tourney were just a few things to keep you occupied throughout the night.

The Tekken Swag Wagon also made the night a bit more interesting. Once it was announced that T6 swag was to be given out the entire crowd RAN and pushed out the door. There we were given Tattoo sleeves, and TapOut Tshirts. Faye even offered some free VIP wrist bands to a few lucky fans.

In the end, the Tekken 6 release party was a complete success. We are all very excited to head back to Hanger Athletic Xchng for the November 13th and 14th event- ACTivegamerS’ Synthetix Gala Party and Triple Threat Tournament

And It’s always good see all our friends- UGTL, Gootecks, GYT, and Camiwins!

Many Thanks to all the guys at SDTekken, MarkMan, and Ms. Faye, The masterminds at ActiveGamers, and all the beautiful Anime ladies for holding such a great event. You have our full support, and we can’t wait to see you all again!

❤ HunEBee and the rest of The Box Arena crew =)
